Description
Fushimi Inari Shrine near Kyoto, Japan. Founded in 711, this shinto shrine is was orgininally dedicated to Inari, the god of rice. Modernday worshippers still flock to the site for success and prosperity in business. The bronze fox statue is a kitsune, a messenger of Inari; the key in its mouth offers access to the rice graneries.
