Spring blossoms in full glory in Tokyo, Japan. Spring is an amazing season in Japan as blossoms slowly open from south to north. After a long, dreary winter the arrival of spring (sakura in Japanese), people have picnics underneath the blossom trees in parks. The practice of viewing spring blossoms is referred to as hanami.
